Peshawar Zalmi won the toss and elected to bowl first. Lahore qalandars got very ugly start, they lost their main wicket in very first over of the match, that was the wicket of Lahore Qalandar's Captain Brendon Mccullum. In 3rd over of the match Peshawar got the wicket of Jason Roy, He was caught out on the bowling of Hasan Ali, In the same over he got the wicket of Umar Akmal and that was the stage qalandars struggling hard to survive they have made only 9 runs at that moment of the match and lost their top order batsmans. At the end of 5th over Qalandar's made only 35 runs by losing 4 major wickets. Pehawar made qalandar's under pressure and they started losing their wickets. In 7th over they got the wicket of Muhammad Rizwan and in 8th over they got Sunil Narine, later on in the 9th over Sohail tanveer was run out by the Chris Jordan. At the end of 10th over Bilawal Bhatti was bowled out by Shahid Afridi. Fakhar Zaman Caught out behind the stumps in 11th over.In the same over he got Muhammad Irfan Jr. All the team was bowled out on 59 runs in 10.2 overs. They did not even played complete 20 overs.

Peshawar Zalmi made match interesting by losing early wickets they lost their 2 wickets on the score off 9 runs in just first 5 overs. they made 36 runs in 10 overs by losing 3 wickets. Yasir shah made match interesting in 11th over by taking wicket of Shahid Afridi and in the 12th over he got 2 more major wickets, then again in 14th over he bowled out Darren Sammy. At that stage Zalmi's were at the score off 51-7. Afterwards with highly determine struggle they made remaining runs in 18th over of the match.
