Islamabad United won the match by 1 runs. Quetta Gladiators won the toss and elected to bowl first. United got ugly start, they lost their first wicket in 1st over, Dwayne Smith Was dismissed by Zulfiqar Babar. In 5 overs they made 30-1. In 10 overs they made 74 runs off 2 wickets. Hussain Talat completed his 50 runs. In 15 Overs they done 111 by losing 3 wickets. with thw stunning inning of Hussain Talat and Shane Watson Islamabad United concluded their inning with 165 runs oof losing 6 wickets.
Quetta Gladiators were given the target of 166 runs to win. Gladiators openers tried best to give their team a good start. At the end of 5 overs they made only 39 runs by losing 1 wicket. In 10 overs they made 82 runs with 9 wickets in hand. Ahmed Shehzad and Kevin Pietersen made 100+ partnership. Both Batsmens made 50's. In 15 overs they made 131-1. The Drama started in the 18th over when Kevin Pietersen were dismissed by Shadab Khan. Ahmed Shehzad also caught out on the bowling of Muhammad Sami in the 18th over. Sarfaraz also got out while hitting by Rumman Raees. In the last over Quetta needed 4 runs off 2 balls. Muhammad Sami did great last over and Rillee Rossow dismissed on that second last ball now they needed 3 runs off 1 ball. Anwar striked the ball but did not make way to the fans and they made only 1 runs.
