Result Match 4: Islamabad United vs. Lahore Qalandars

Lahore Qalandars won the match by 7 wickets in hand. Lahore Qalandars won the toss and elected to bowl first. Islamabad United openers gave their team smooth start against qalandar bowlers. They made 34 runs in 5 starting overs. After the solid start Islamabad United losses their openers Dwayne Smith and Sam Billings, both openers were dismissed by Grant Elliot. They made 76-2 in 10 overs after the great start. Later on in 13th over Brad Haddin was dismissed by Grant Elliot once again. At the end of 15th over United made 102-3. In the 16th over Shane Watson was caught out by Umar Akmal over the straight on the bowling of Grant Elliot. Misbah-ul-Haq proved wall for the Qalandars, and he made 61 runs off 37 balls, his innings include huge sixes as well whereas Elliot from Qalandar side took 4 wickets by giving 23 runs in 4 overs. Islamabad United made 158 by losing 7 wickets. Qalandars were given target of 159 runs to win the match.

Islamabad United started chasing target by cracking United bowling attack in very first over, as you know Brendon Mccullum was in the crease. He made 25 runs in 9 balls and got out in 3rd over of the match. At the end of 5th over qalandars, the score was 46-2. Umar Akmal And Jason Roy took charge over the United bowlers and reached qalandar score up to 86-2 in 10 overs. In the 15th over Umar Akmal was caught out from the bowling of Shane Watson. He made 35 runs off 25 balls. At the end of 15th over they made 119 runs by losing 3 wickets. Later on Grant Elliot and Jason Roy finished the match brilliantly by under pressuring the Islamabad United bowlers by making sixes and fours.
