PSL Opening Ceremony - Pakistan Super League 2017

PSL Opening Ceremony will be held at Dubai Cricket Stadium on Thursday, February 9. The glittering ceremony will be entertained by renowned film and T.V actor Fahad Mustafa while famous singers Ali Zafar and Shehzad Roy will showcase their performances at the ceremony along with globally praised musician from Jamaica Shaggy.

Shaggy, well remembered for his successful song Bombastic, has confirmed his support in the concert at the opening ceremony of the PSL 2017. Exposing his enthusiasm in a message for his Pakistani supporters, Shaggy said:  “I request you all to come and sing some of your famous Shaggy numbers by me.”

The opening ceremony is awaited to include an impressive display of fireworks and an exceptional action by the Flying Drummers.

All five teams will present on the ground for the opening ceremony with their captains, officials and the squad. At the completion of the opening ceremony, the opening game of the PSL will be played among the defending champions Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi.

The opening ceremony of the game will be supported by the inaugural match of the League which will be played among Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi at Dubai.

The three additional teams playing in the League are Karachi Kings, Lahore Qalandars, and Quetta Gladiators.             

In all, 24 matches will be played in the 30-day tournament – 13 in Dubai and 10 in Sharjah while the final of the PSL 2017 will be held in Lahore on March 7.
